Watch: 2 High-Schoolers & a 6th-Grader Do Stand-Up
Get Ready To Laugh
I mentioned a few weeks ago that I had the chance to lead a 2-day comedy camp/masterclass for students. It was awesome. I had four students sign up. On days 1 and 2 I taught them how to write jokes, how to order a set, how to internalize a set, and how to perform. It all culminated in a showcase. They killed it! Sadly, one of my students got sick the day of the showcase and didn’t get to perform, but the three who did were great. Please, take a few minutes to watch their videos below. And note: 1) All content is original; 2) They use zero notes; and, 3) They were all comfortable on stage. These are all things I teach and, if you’re interested, I can help you with. If you have any interest in 1-on-1 sessions, let me know. I’ve written jokes for other comedians, helped punch jokes/sets up, and have given feedback. I can do whatever it is you might need help with or be interested in. Or, you can get my online course just below.
JOKE WRITING COURSE: By the way, if you have any interest at all in learning about your persona, how to write some jokes, or doing stand-up comedy, check out my online joke writing course, “The Joke Writer’s Lab,” HERE.
